Apple Watch Battlefield | Which One Do You Prefer?
The best-selling smartwatches in the market today are the Apple Watches, and it’s not just because of its sleek design. It has proven to be as technologically advanced and user-friendly as its competitors, if not more, and it continues to set high standards. So there are two versions of the Apple Watch 3 series. You have the GPS & the GPS+. Only the GPS+ comes with LTE & Cellular support while the other does not, so have that in mind.
No. 1
One main feature that the Apple Watch 3 GPS+ offers is Cellular Support, & that means you can take your Apple Watch without the need to carry your iPhone with you.
No. 2
One major upgrade Apple did was give the Apple Watch an increase in storage capacity. They took it from its previous 8GB to 16GB, so they’ve become more generous with the storage.
No. 3
One downside with the GPS + cellular is that its battery life may not be the greatest. It gives you approximately only an hour of talking time on a full battery, but besides that, it’s fantastic. However, the regular series 3 GPS graciously gives 3 to 4 x that amount, giving you plenty of talk time if you need it. So that’s one positive thing to note, & beneficial for staying connected during those long strolls or jogs.

Another thing is the amount of RAM that they have upgraded from the previous model. It went from 512MB to 768MB, so I’m grateful for that as well. It’s also quicker and more fluid than the earlier models, so it’s good to keep that in mind.
No. 5
One of my favorite and most convenient upgraded features of the 3 GPS & GPS+ is that SIRI works so much more quickly and smoother, picking up your question and returning an answer in just seconds which is way faster than the previous models.
No. 6
If you get the GPS+ model with cellular, you need to get a different carrier plan, and that should be around $10 a month on top of your current phone plan.
So I would consider the regular Series 3 GPS unless you’re looking to be on long walks without your phone and want the connection while you’re away from it.

Also, another interesting observation was the red crown button on the side that comes with the GPS+, and its sensor bar at the bottom (not the casing) is thicker than the previous models, and you can see the difference.
No. 8
Another thing to consider is that the Series 3 Bluetooth is 4.2 from its previous 4.0, which means it has a stronger signal, & connection, so that means no more dropped calls, thankfully.
No. 9
The Series 3 and up comes with a barometer which is a new sensor that measures the altitude, so if you’re hiking up there, it can be helpful for you.
No. 10
With the Series 3 GPS+ cellular, you don’t need a different phone number because it uses your phone number and conveniently connects to your iPhone.
No. 11
Sync all your music, create a playlist, and play offline when you’re at the gym and lack a signal. Connect to your AirPods easily.
No. 12
Apple Watch Series 3 can detect your heart rate if it suddenly rises, while Series 4 may catch a disease.
No. 13
The Series 3 comes with an electronic SIM, so you don’t have to insert a sim card or anything because it’s fully electronic and locked into the network.
The Series 3 also comes with a brand new Dual-Core processor that’s 70% faster than the processor in Series 2.
No. 14
The Series 3 comes with a wireless chip called W2 that allows you to have better connectivity when it comes to headphones, Airpods & such.
No. 15
The Water Resistance is the same at 50 meters of depth with many different swimming apps and features in your watch.
No. 16
Now, the GPS is available in Series 3, so if you want to go for a jog, it will track your movement and update itself via the internet.
No. 17
The Series 3 also is unlocked, so don’t worry about it being locked to an old carrier.
