Samsung Will Show Off The New Smartwatches at MWC 2021

Samsung hasn’t held an event since the Galaxy S20 event in February 2020. The company confirmed early on that it won’t have an in-person presence at MWC 2021. And no one got a chance to participate in 2020 as MWC was canceled due to the pandemic. However, there’s going to be a Samsung MWC 2021 live virtual event.

Samsung teamed up with Google this year to work on the upcoming version of Wear OS. During an MWC session next week, Samsung will show off a “new watch experience.” In a tweet, the tech giant confirmed its plans to virtually debut the new ‘Galaxy Experience’ – alongside an image suggesting the Galaxy Watch 4 may be used to showcase the new interface. It was already confirmed during Google I/O earlier this month that Samsung’s next smartwatches will run the new unified Wear platform that has been built with Google.

The official MWC event page explains that the company is “reimagining smartwatches, creating new opportunities for both developers and consumers,” which seems to indicate at least some sort of first look at the future of Samsung’s smartwatches. Samsung will show off its new Wear OS experience for the first time at this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC) event, set to occur on Monday, June 28th.

The virtual Samsung Galaxy session takes place at 1:15 PM ET on Monday, June 28th. You’ll be able to watch it live on Samsung’s YouTube channel.
